Rumored threat of violence at Streator High School false

STREATOR — A rumored threat to Streator High School today has been unfounded according to school officials. Superintendent Matt Seaton said today that a student who attends a school in Indiana posted a statement last night threatening violence to his school. Seaton said because the student had social media connections to people in Streator, along with other districts throughout La Salle County, an investigation was launched by officials. Officials say that it was quickly determined that the threat was not local and no threats involve any students or staff at Streator High School.
