No love for gas prices in Illinois on Valentine’s Day

 
CHICAGO – Gas prices across Illinois trended higher than the national average and all neighboring states on Valentine’s Day. According to the American Automobile Association, Illinois drivers are paying $3.54 per gallon, 13 cents higher than the national average. Some of the lowest prices in the nation can be found in the south central states, including Texas and Oklahoma, where prices have dipped below $3 a gallon. Locally, LaSalle County has the best average price for gas in north central Illinois at $3.36 per gallon.
