SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 10,573 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases, along with 14 additional deaths. Of those deaths include one male in his 70s from LaSalle County. Currently the IDPH is reporting almost 500,000 cases in the state since the start of the pandemic with over 10,000 deaths. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity rate for the state is currently 11.4%
