OGLESBY – A marijuana cultivation center in Oglesby plans to make a million dollar expansion. According to Mayor Dom Rivara, Green Thumb Industries will start construction on the $1.5 million expansion in the coming months. Rivara says the operation will benefit the area, in that it’s expected to create around 40-50 jobs. As far as his opinions on recreational marijuana goes, he says its now up to each individual, since it will soon become legal. For the city of Oglesby, drug testing policies and commercial driver license guidelines will not be modified.
