STREATOR – Two people are in custody after the Pontiac Narcotics Unit seized prescription drugs during an arrest. According to authorities on Thursday morning, 37-year-old Michelle McDonald and 50-year-old Gilbert Edwards both of Pontiac were arrested for Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance after allegedly around 300 prescription pills were seized. Four alleged cannabis plant sprouts were destroyed. Both are being held at the Livingston County Jail pending court hearings. Assisting Pontiac were Dwight Narcotics, Livingston County Proactive, Trident Drug Unit, Livingston County State’s Attorney, Pontiac PD Patrol and Livingston County Investigations and Patrol.
