SPRINGFIELD — The man convicted of murders at Starved Rock State Park in 1960 will be undergoing his 20th parole hearing today. 76-year old Chester Weger was denied his parole by a 9-3 vote last year. Weger has been serving a life sentence in the Pickneyville Correctional Center for the murder of a Chicago woman in Saint Louis Canyon. The Illinois Prisoner Review board will meet on November 19th at 8 AM to give the vote on Weger’s parole hearing.
