Mautino voted in as new auditor general

SPRINGFIELD — State Representative Frank Mautino will be Illinois’ next auditor general. Officials at Mautino’s office in Spring Valley confirmed yesterday that votes passed the Illinois House and Senate to bring in Mautino, who will replace the retiring William Holland. The Senate unanimously voted in favor, 55-0, and the House voted in heavy favor, 102-10. Mautino has been serving areas of La Salle, Bureau, Putnam and Livingston Counties since 1991, following his father’s passing in the same seat.
