UNDATED — Very dry conditions, along with gusty winds have prompted dangerous fire conditions for today. A Red Flag Warning has been posted throughout the area and officials are reminding residents and farmers not to burn because of the very dry conditions. A large field fire last week near Leonore, started by a spark from farm equipment, spread quickly because of dry corn stalk and very gusty winds. A red flag warning means there are critical fire conditions in the area and any burning could quickly grow out of control.
