Pontiac prison finds additional COVID-19 infection

PONTIAC- The Illinois Department of Corrections reported Friday one new confirmed case of COVID-19 at Pontiac Correctional Center.  The infected is a man in his 50s who was asymptomatic at the time of testing and is currently recovering in isolation.

The Livingston County Health Department has received 756 COVID-19 test results since the pandemic began.  Of those, 31 COVID-19 tests have been confirmed positive and 25 of the previously reported confirmed cases have been removed from isolation, four cases remain active, and two cases have resulted in death due to complications related to COVID-19. Of those individuals who have tested positive, four were asymptomatic at the time of testing.
