OTTAWA – The American Red Cross has partnered with the NFL during National Blood Donor Month to not only help save lives, but give those donors a chance to win tickets to next year’s Super Bowl in Los Angeles. They are also asking those that have recovered from COVID-19 to donate to tackle a convalescent plasma shortage. Upcoming blood donation events will take place Tuesday in Spring Valley at St. Margaret’s Hospital from 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM and Thursday in Streator from 8:45 AM – 1:45 PM at the Streator Incubator and in Princeton at the First United Methodist Church from 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Appointments are recommended by visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
