Streator Unlimited has full and part time positions available supporting individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities to lead full, healthy lives and to be part of the community. We currently need staff for evening, midnight, and weekend positions in our group homes. You must have a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED. You do not need experience…we will train you.
What does a DSP do? We assist individuals to do the things you do every day for yourself including preparing meals, laundry, hygiene tasks, taking medications, shopping, taking a walk, eating out, going to the movies, visiting with friends & family, going to community events, putting a puzzle together, etc. We assist individuals do the things they want and enjoy doing. How much help someone needs depends on the individual. This may require you to physically assist an individual who uses a wheelchair, drive a van to transport someone somewhere, and document progress on goals. You’ll need to meet a number of requirements such as a drug test, back assessment, physical, criminal background check and literacy test.
The starting wage is $9.50/hour plus an extra .50 per hour for hours worked on second and third shifts as well as all weekend hours. We offer an excellent benefit package as well. You can also apply at our office at 305 N. Sterling Street Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. EOE
