January at the Peru Library

January 16, 2017 - January 31, 2017

Starting your Genealogy with the Peru Library
The Peru Library begins its 4-part Genealogy Basics series with Starting Your Genealogy on January 17th.  This first class is designed to cover the essentials of genealogy – what are vital records, what tools are needed, can the internet be trusted?  The session is at 2-3:30 and repeated at 6-7:30.  Registration is required as class size is limited.  Call 815.223.0229 or email perulibrary@perulibrary.org to register.  The following classes focus on Free Resources for Genealogy, Using the Census and Using World Vital Records.

Peru Public Library helps relieve stress
Looking for a way to reduce stress in your life?  Come to the Peru Library’s Color Me Calm for two hours of soothing coloring where decisions are easy and carefree.  Bring your own coloring supplies or use the library’s.  Color Me Calm is on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 10am until 12pm.

Keep fingers nimble with Peruvian Purlers
Like to knit?  Crochet?  Cross-stitch?  Have we got a group for you?  The Peruvian Purlers meet Saturdays in the Peru Library’s meeting room to share their work, compare yarn stashes and dream of the next project.  Join the Peruvian Purlers each Saturday from 10 until noon.  All are welcome, but please leave looms at home.
