AURORA – In at least two instances, according to authorities, shots were fired at Aurora police Sunday night as law enforcement tried to quell the violence caused after a peaceful protest became anything but peaceful.   The Aurora Police Department say one officer was injured after being struck by a thrown object, and multiple arsons and building vandalism occurred throughout the city.   Three patrol cars were also destroyed by the crowds.  After the bulk of the violence stopped in the early hours of Monday, 14 people had been arrested.
