COAL CITY – Two men from Joliet are dead after a shooting at a bar in rural Grundy County. Early Saturday morning Grundy County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 8400 Block of East Pine Road outside of Coal City for shots fired at an outside pavilion area. Upon arrival, deputies found 25-year-old Dameonta D. Terry-Travis and 33-year-old Darius D. Travis deceased from gunshot wounds. A firearm was recovered at the scene. Authorities say no suspect is in custody but that the incident appears to be a targeted act of violence. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Grundy County Sheriffs Office.
