STREATOR – The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team have arrested six individuals recently as part of an ongoing investigation into drug sales. Five Streator residents and a man from Riverdale were all charged with a variety of felony charges related to drug distribution. Currently being held at the LaSalle County Jail on $1 million bonds are 36-year-old Vernon Andrews, 27-year-old Shawna Stevenson, 46-year-old Alterida Phillips, 35-year-old Leodies Jordan III and 39-year-old Steven D. Bottoms of Streator. Tyshawn D. Stewart of Riverdale, who was already being held at the LaSalle County Jail, had additional felony charges filed against him. TRI-Dent consists of LaSalle, Streator, Princeton, Oglesby, Ottawa, Spring Valley and Mendota Police Departments along with LaSalle, Bureau and Putnam County Sheriff’s Offices.
