New this year to the family-friendly Summer Fun Fest offerings is a Kiddie Parade, beginning at City Hall and marching to the Dickinson House, on Saturday, July 7th, at 10 a.m.
All area children are invited to decorate their bike, trike or wagon and join the Oglesby Kiddie Parade. This year’s theme is “Hero’s Come in All Sizes.” Area children are encouraged to honor their heroes – whether real-life or make-believe – in Oglesby’s pint-sized parade just for kids.
Line up and Judging will be promptly at 9:30 a.m. at Oglesby City Hall. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. and will go down Dale Avenue to the Dickinson House. There are 3 categories: Terrific tots (4 years or younger); Patriotic Weewees (4-6); and Super Heroes (7-10). There will be refreshments and prizes awarded. Pre-registration is greatly appreciated.
