SPRING VALLEY — A Spring Valley woman is $300,000 richer after a big win in the Illinois Lottery. Officials say Janina Ligas played a Lucky Day Lotto ticket at Express Lane on Third Street in La Salle. Ligas in a press release said she plans on paying bills and paying off her mortgage with the winnings, citing that it’s “nice to be debt free.” Ligas split the $600,000 jackpot with another winning ticket that was sold in Effingham. Express Lane in La Salle will receive a bonus of $3,000 for selling the winning ticket.
