STREATOR — The Streator Fire Department received a grant this morning that will help with the department’s fire education and prevention activities. Representatives from FM Global presented an award and nearly $2,100 in grant money to Fire Chief Gary Bird and Firefighter Bryan Park this morning at the fire department. FM Global, based out of the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, is known for it’s Fire Prevention Grant Program and awards grants quarterly to fire departments, along with other organizations worldwide and throughout Illinois.
