STREATOR – More businesses will be getting makeovers in Streator. Hombaker Automotive on Sterling Street and Mi Mexicana on East Main Street are next in line for exterior upgrades. The city council agreed to approve both $30,000 grants with only enough money in the budget to finance one. City Manager Dave Plyman says he anticipates receiving COVID-19 relief cash that could be applied to the grants and City Engineer Jeremy Palm says there’s a chance a previous grant recipient will lose funding if their project isn’t completed by the end of the year.
