Illinois Valley Community College’s Adult Education program will offer free Adult Basic Education (ABE), High School Equivalency (HSE) traditional and online preparation classes as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) and Citizenship classes beginning Feb. 1 and 2.
ABE/HSE and ESL classes are offered during the day or evening on main campus and at IVCC’s Ottawa Center. Evening ESL classes at DePue begin Feb. 2.
Before joining a class, all students must attend a registration session.
Director of Adult Education Sara Escatel said, “We are excited to begin a new semester for our adult learners. Following the college’s COVID guidelines, class sizes are limited, so we encourage students to sign up for a registration session soon.”
