Woodland’s Key Club hosts blood drive for local mother

Woodland High School Key Club members

STREATOR – Woodland High School’s student-leader organization hosted a blood drive for an alumnae. The Woodland Key Club’s American Red Cross Blood Drive event is hosted annually for Streator native, Alison Wissen. Wissen suffered pregnancy issues that caused her to lose one a half times her total blood volume during the delivery of her daughter. Senior Coordinator Ashton Stiep (STIP) says the goal of Key Club is to serve the community through projects like blood drives. This year, they raised nearly 50 pints of blood.
