Oglesby Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

OGLESBY – Multiple agencies were involved in the arrest of an Oglesby man on Friday for child pornography possession. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office announced that 32-year-old Robert E. Tannenbaum Jr was taken into custody after a warrant was executed on a residence in the 600 block of West Walnut Street in Oglesby. Tannenbaum allegedly was in possession of child pornography and was charged with three class 2 felonies. He was taken to the LaSalle County Jail on a $75,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing with the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, Peru Police Department, Oglesby Police Department, Tri-Dent Task Force, and the LaSalle County and Illinois State Attorney General’s Office.
