STREATOR – Streator City Manager Scot Wrighton’s official last day will be Monday, March 18th. According to Mayor Jimmie Lansford, no candidates are in place so far however, Wrighton and other city officials have volunteered their services in connecting the city to possible candidates. Mayor Lansford says the council will come up with a list of qualifications and qualities they are looking to find in their next city manager. Personally, Mayor Lansford says he would like to see a city manager who has experience in dealing with municipalities in the state of Illinois, experience working with tax increment financing, and ultimately someone who clicks with the city officials. Mayor Lansford says that by March, he anticipates that the search will be narrowed down to identify those possible successors.
