Streator to Apply for Tourist Sign Grant

STREATOR- The city of Streator is applying for a grant to help fund informational signs throughout the city. In a council meeting Wednesday, the approval of submitting an application for an Illinois Tourism Attraction Development Grant was given to help fund 15 way signs and an electronic informational kiosk. According to City Manager Scot Wrighton, the purpose of the grant is to aide tourists and visitors in locating attractions. If approved for the grant, the city would fund half of the $60,000 project.
