Mendota Man Still Missing

Tennessee officials say that despite 5 days of extensive search via helicopters, drones, marine units, and cadaver dogs, they still haven’t found a Mendota man missing since early March.  The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department, located north of Memphis, says despite the lack of success in finding 67 year old Stanley B. Vodden, they will continue the search, though rains are expected to move back in and they fear the Mississippi River will again flood.  Vodden departed Florida on March 1st to travel back to Mendota, but his family reported him missing after he failed to return.  Last week, Vodden’s car was found in the back flood waters of the Mississippi River in Lauderdale County Tennessee, but Vodden was not located.
The Mississippi River had experience recent torrential flooding in that area due to extensive rainfall.
