STREATOR – The Marilla Park Shelter project will begin in just a few months. Ed Brozak, gave an update to Streator park board members at meeting on Wednesday night. He says if this shelter is a successful build, Dave Taylor, Streator High School’s woodworking teacher would like to build more with students. The end of March, beginning of April the frame for the pavilion is expected to be raised. Brozak says if the budget allows for it, 400 lb plastic picnic tables are an option to prevent any rust or rot in the flood prone area. The Streator Park Board plans to have its next meeting on May 10th on the site of the project at Marilla Park.
