Illinois Lowest Covid Death Toll Since March 30th

SPRINGFIELD – New Covid-19 numbers were posted Saturday by the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the deaths continue their decline.  Ten people were reported to have died from the virus in the past 24 hours, and that is the lowest number since seven died back on March 30th.  However, 862 people have contracted Coronavirus since Friday, and that is about the same numbers as the last couple of days.  Since the pandemic began, just over seven hundred Illinoisans have succumbed to the disease.
