STREATOR – Streator’s Plan Comissioner is recommending a special use permit for a resident to operate a crematory on North Bloomington Street. After a fire destroyed Shultz crematory business on Shabbona Street, owners moved into the Flink building and are looking to purchase property on 404 North Bloomington. The property would serve as a crematory and offices. According to Shultz new technology should make the crematory unnoticeable. The recommendation will go to city council for approval.
