21 New Covid-19 Deaths in Illinois

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health said on Thursday that 21 people have been reported to have died from the coronavirus in the past day.  The victims range in age from a woman in her 30s to 3 people in their 90s.  The state said that 1,953 people were infected with the virus in the past 24 hours, which is the highest daily total since May 25th.  Nearly 42,000 tests were administered, and the number of positive tests to total tests is gradually rising, and is now four percent over the past seven days.
