An airline passenger allegedly reached for her lotion, however she accidently pepper sprayed the cabin mid flight. People on the flight began coughing, complaining that their eyes hurt, and that even some couldn’t see. When flight attendants asked if anyone knew what was going on the woman came forward and explained the mistake. However, other passengers claimed they had overheard her having an argument with another family across the aisle and that she deliberately sprayed them. The flight was rerouted and paramedics assisted those who were distressed. The woman and her family were escorted off of the flight. TSA regulations are that pepper spray can be packed in a checked bag, however not in a carryon. It is unclear at this time how she was able to get it on the plane.
