After the kindness of a firefighter, allowing a 44-year-old woman to stay overnight at the fire station, the woman took a fire truck for a joy ride. She made it about 11 miles from the station before the truck ran out of gas. An officer stopped to give her assistance, where she insisted she was a volunteer firefighter. The officer checked the roster and did not find her name. The woman was arrested and is being charged with grand theft auto, fraud, as well as impersonating a firefighter. It is unknown why she had stayed at the station overnight.
