HERNANDO COUNTY – A Florida man was recently released of his duties at the Hernando County Sherriff’s Office following an incident. He reported that he had been held at gunpoint and shot during an alleged carjacking and that he had returned fire. While he was being treated for the leg wound, he allegedly confessed to shooting himself.
