Sometimes a little laughter in the workplace is a good thing, however if you are the one the prank is on, maybe not so much.
- Calling all animals – give your co-worker a list of phone numbers to the local zoo to call, telling them they are clients. Then give names like Ms. Elle Phant, or Mr. Ji Raff.
- I can’t hear you – placing a piece of tape over the speaker of the phone receiver so when they answer the phone they can’t hear the caller.
- Nothing is working – put signs around the building stating that things aren’t working, “bathroom out of order”, “printer not working” and unplug it, “coffee out of order” and take the pot.
- Did you hear? – start some gossip around the office, keep in mind to keep this light and it could end up backfiring on you or cause hurt feelings
- Unending ring – place a piece of tape over the button under the headset, this way when your coworker picks up the phone, it still continues to ring.
- Caught red handed – put a couple of drops of red food dye into the soap and mix it up, make sure for this to work that the container for the hand soap is not see-through.
- I resign – leave a letter on the desk of your boss that an over-achieving coworker has quit, with the reasoning being something silly, for example, I won $2 million dollars in the lottery, I don’t need to work.
- Coffee Break – switch the am coffee for decaf, then switch the afternoon for espresso.
- Salty Sugar? – replace all of the sugar in the building for salt.
- Discounted – set up “free ad” with the local paper for an item that your boss is selling, however they have no idea that they are. Put their name, work number, and work hours on the ad.
