A teacher in Italy was let go after 20 years of absence over her 24 year career. She was dismissed from duties in 2017 after returning to work for four months and received complaints that she spent the majority of her time on her phone instead of teaching. She has vowed to provide documentation to explain her absence, however when a journalist asked for it she told them that she couldn’t because she was on the beach.
