Faulty electrical outlet cause of smoke in Fieldcrest boy’s room

 
TOLUCA – No injuries were reported after multiple fire departments were called to Fieldcrest Intermediate School for smoke coming from the boy’s bathroom. According to the Toluca-Rutland Fire Department, on Tuesday just after 8:30 a.m., fire crews investigated the boy’s bathroom with no fire inside but an odor of smoke. After an investigation, the cause of the fire was determined to be a faulty electrical outlet. No injuries were reported to fire crews, staff, or students. The fire department was assisted by Marshall County Dispatch, Eastern Marshall County EMS, Lostant Fire Department, Weonona Fire Department, and Minonk Fire Department.
