CHICAGO – As the new year approaches, gas prices have fallen significantly, and the American Automobile Association says that’s a likely trend through next year.
Since last month, gas prices have fallen nationwide due to increasing supply and low gasoline demand. Statewide, gas prices dropped by over 50 cents. LaSalle County prices are reflecting the big decrease with prices now at $3.26 cents per gallon and Putnam and Bureau counties averaging around $3.30 cents per gallon.
