LASALLE – One person has been identified in the Saturday morning explosion in rural LaSalle County. 59-year-old Robert E. Waters was recovered from the explosion that destroyed a two-story home in the 3100 block of East Third Road, north of LaSalle. According to LaSalle County Coronor Richard Ploch, Waters died of multiple injuries sustained in the blast. The female victim involved in the accident will have her identity released by the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office. No other injuries have been reported, and the event is being investigated by the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office, the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office, the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, the State Fire Marshall’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
