CHICAGO – Falling oil prices have contributed to lower pump prices, according to the American Automobile Association. AAA says, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has decreased by over ten cents, now at $4.68. For the past week, the top three states that have seen the largest decreases in their averages are Illinois at 16 cents, Texas at 15 cents, and Ohio at around a 13 cent decrease. In North Central Illinois, Putnam County is fairing the most expensive at $5.19 per gallon, while LaSalle and Bureau counties average around $4.97 cents.
