LADD – By August of next year the village of Ladd will be home to many seniors in Bureau County. Village officials, and partners like the Illinois Housing Development Authority gathered on Friday at the construction zone on 357 W. Cleveland Street where Ladd Senior Village will be. The independent senior apartment facility will provide those 55 years and older affordable, modern housing while being able to stay local.
Mayor Frank Catttani says over 30 seniors are already expressing interesting in living in the senior community. Kristin Faust Executive Director of the Illinois Housing Development Authority says in the just village alone, the senior population has grown 18% since 2010.
