
OTTAWA – IDOT announced Tuesday morning that the IL 351 from the Illinois River to 1st Street in LaSalle is closed due to flooding. The LaSalle County Highway Department has announced that Dee Bennett Road (County Highway 34) is closed due to flooding from Route 178 to Naplate. County Highway 63 (Ben Samek Road) is also closed on Monday from 251 to Sandy Cosgrove Road (N. 2550th Road). DuPoint Road is closed due to flooding a quarter mile east of Route 170 to the County Line. Officials in Ottawa state that the Main Street/Fox River Bridge will be closed starting at 7pm on Monday, May 18th. Traffic across the bridge will be restricted to Eastside residents only, and the bridge will reopen to all traffic when the rivers have lowered to a safe level. Illinois Route 71 from 1251 Road to 2401 Road near Ottawa is closed due to flooding.
In Putnam County Ben Samek Road is closed from Route 251 to the Bottom Road.
