American Red Cross honors Streator mother

STREATOR – The American Red Cross will host a blood drive in honor of a local Streator women, Wedensday April 3rd. Alison Wissen suffered serious pregnancy issues that caused her to lose one a half times her total blood volume during the delivery of her daughter. Wissen says she would not be alive if it weren’t for blood donors. The blood drive will be from 1 p.m. to 6p.m. at Streator Woodland High School. Over 160 blood donations have been collected in past blood drives in Alison’s honor.
