STREATOR – Roadways have taken a hit when it comes to the winter we’ve experience so far, leading to more potholes and vehicle accidents. With Spring right around the corner, Streator residents can rest assure that they will steadily see more potholes patched up. Public Works Director Larry Hake says it’s a coordinated effort that starts annually towards the end of the fall season. His team focuses on larger potholes first, then going by sections of the town to avoid over looking road damages. He expects to be done by Spring and says if his team hasn’t gotten to someones pothole, its still on the list. By spring time, Streator residents can also count on fresh road lines and regraded alleys.
