PERU — A house bill filed by 76th District representative Andy Skoog looks to keep funding for agriculture education. House Bill 6424 would appropriate $1.8 million to the State Board of Education for ag education. Governor Bruce Rauner has recommended to eliminate agriculture education starting in fiscal year 2017. Skoog says appropriating money for ag education is an investment for “the farmers of tomorrow.”
