Bomb scare at Peoria airport caused by fake device

The suspicious-looking item that caused a bomb scare at Peoria’s airport Thursday morning wasn’t real. Peoria County investigators say a passenger was carrying a fake device that’s used to train abortion clinic workers in bomb recognition. Screeners spotted the device while X-raying a bag and the airport was evacuated for three hours.
