MENDOTA — Mendota Police may be stopping you this summer for doing good. For the past two years they have participated in a program dubbed, “doing the right thing.” The goal is to reward people for obeying the law, setting a good example for others, and making good decisions. Local businesses have contributed rewards to be given out to those observed helping the community and being mindful of laws. If your business or organization would like to be a part of the Doing the Right Thing Program, please contact Lt. Gregory S. Kellen at the Mendota Police Department at (815) 539-9331.
