The winds cause O’Hare problems

Chicago- Windy city, indeed. High winds shut down most of O’Hare International Airport’s runways for a time Wednesday, causing arrival delays of more than two hours on average. The airport was landing arriving aircraft on two diagonal runways that are used in crosswind weather conditions. The Federal Aviation Administration said the other five east-west parallel runways were closed Wednesday until conditions improved.
