MENDOTA — A heavy police presence earlier this week at Mendota High School was all part of a “planned” soft lockdown. Superintendent Jeff Prusautor says they run the exercise two to three times a year, when police will come in and do a sweep of the high school both inside and out. Prusautor said it is a way both the school and police keep “proactive” when it comes to drugs and other possible incidents at the school. Prusautor said that all reports came back clean and no arrests were made.
