RANSOM — A suburban Chicago woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident Saturday night in southeastern La Salle County. La Salle County Coroner Jody Bernard says 51-year old Cheryl Giacomi of Crest Hill was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say Giacomi was a passenger in a car that rolled over on Illinois Route 170, north of Ransom around 11:20 Saturday night. The driver of the car, whose name was not released, was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria for her injuries.
