Two teenagers were rescued from a ledge Friday evening at Starved Rock State Park. Fire and EMS were called to the park shortly after 4 pm Thursday after two people climbed a rock face and were unable to climb back down. The people, a male and a female, both 19 years of age, were on a ledge about 15 to 20 feet up at Wildcat Canyon Waterfall. The MABAS Division 25 technical rescue team and Utica Fire conducted vertical rope rescue and both were lowered to the ground without incident.
Both were evaluated by Utica EMS and refused subsequent medical treatment.
