STREATOR — A fire in a semi-tractor trailer may have been the cause of a structure fire on the north side of Streator this morning. Streator Fire officials say they were called to Thies Trucking in the 200-block of Armstrong Street around 7:45 this morning. Officials say upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from a large building. The fire was brought under control in 15 minutes and crews were on the scene for two hours.
Officials believe that the fire began inside of the semi-tractor truck parked inside of the building. The truck sustained severe heat damage, while four other vehicles were damaged by smoke and heat and the building itself sustained some smoke and heat damage. No injuries were reported.
